I think its a wonderful idea. I have started going around to sites that have this plug in with the intent of getting backlinks and I’ve discovered some very interesting blogs to subscribe to along the way!

Isn’t it a depressing idea to make people comment just for backlinks?
By the way, what about the cocomment widget I’ve got in my blog? It shows wherever you leave a comment, it’s useful for your readers to know wich blogs do you follow and comment…

Yeah Ive used it on other sites for a while and thought I would add it.

I need to add the threaded comments to ge the best from it, and a “subscribe by mail” option.

Hi Andrea,

I was getting comments anyway, this just makes it easier to throw links back to readers and review the sites of people I am conversing with.

No one will bother commenting just to get a backlink on this site, it is not a high volume site.

I like your blog BTW, particularly the IE sniffer, I think I will get that

Im not sure about the comment tracker, whether I use that will depend on the level of activity….

I see more and more sites implementing this. It really boosts up the comments. And it definitely works, since I found your site by clicking your name in the Top Commentators list on another site.

Commenting on blogs and using myBlogLog is a good way to increase exposure to your blog, but it takes time and is not sustainable, in that once you stop being active your traffic dries up.

Since I installed that plug in, along with threaded comments and subscribe to comments a lot more people leave their remarks on the site, which is nice…

Indeed, this site gets indexed by all the Major SE’s, and some smaller ones, getting on the top commentors list will only take a few minutes (Im not that popular ) and is a sure fire way of getting your site indexed….

Lots of other blogs out there with this plugin too….
