wow this is a pretty crazy software. i can see how if you comment on blogs that don't have a nofollow, you will definitely get back your $97 pretty fast.

Hi Danielle,

Not all of the platforms have the no follow... and even if they do, if you can just ask the site owner for a link exchange, or even bribe them!

I mean, rather than purchase reviews from Pay Per Post etc, why not offer the same amount to a blogger who already has PR on your topic to make some of the keywords link to your site....

I have not tried this, but I bet you would get takers... after all the best pages will have long since gone to archive, and there is almost zero effort involved in inserting a link in an existing post....

I get about ten "link exchange" offers every day. I turn 99% of them down. The only ones I agree to are ones where the link exchange is fair.

Asking me to link a PR4 site to your PR0 sit is hardly fair. Sort of like those "review my blog for a link" scams that some bloggers love.

I had someone ask me to do that for them and their blog had less traffic and a lower PR than mine! I told him I'd be willing to do the reverse and he decided I was not in his niche...

Some people, eh?

Interesting idea. Once you pull all those sites it would be nice to get their RSS feeds and just subscribe. That would be a nice feature if they had OPML files you could work with and you could then just put all the "Dofollow" sites in there and go back regularly...lol

How many do follow blogs do you think are out there though??? I reckon most are still no-follow... but re-visiting regularly is a good plan whatever the tag is!!

Haha, funny story... but I didn't say anything about having PR0, sites I want to promote are PR3+, but having PR does not get you the SERPS.... you need anchored keywords from relevant sites.

Its well known that PR does not really mean that much when it comes to cracking specific keywords... otherwise every Google search you ever did would have a PR9 site at the top of the list and there would be no point in going niche in the first place!!

One other point on this Steve, I dont look at it that way at all... all I consider is "will this exchange benefit me". Ok they may benefit more on that particular exchange, but if it helps me claw my way up against other sites I will still do it.

I recently swapped links with another site who had posts on Pixel Lotto... I cannot remember who had the greater PR or traffic... we were one spot off each other in the SERPs for that term, we traded links and both moved up a slot.... thats what link exchanges are about... SERP's... not "who has the higher PR"...

Oh I do exchange links when they are mutualy beneficial, I'm just not going to review a PR0 site in exchange for a linkback! Nor will I do a link exchange with a site that is burying my link several layers deep.

Hey guys,

Had to jump in here. The nofollow myth is costing you and can no longer remain silent about this.

We've been testing this extensively for the past 7 months and see no evidence that in spite of what we've been told, the spiders do follow links even from blogs with the nofollow tags.

Why?

No idea, but that's what's been happening and users of Comment Hut will back up every word I say, even users of the "Lite" version which only finds Wordpress blogs.

They have nofollow as default, but users have been getting great results using it. We give it away fro free and as Jeremy says, we will send you the odd email now and then in exchange for downloading it.

I don't normally jump in on threads like this. but it pains me to see people missing out because of what is "allegedly" supposed be nofollow.

Maybe there is something about the nofollow, but I only speak from a point of view of results.

My advice is, find a few blogs without Comment that have nofollow and make a few posts. Set Google alerts up to track what the spiders do and see what happens.

If you're happy with what you see, come on over to Comment Hut, download the "Lite" version and experiment some more.

Jeremy has no idea that I'm posting this and I've no idea if he moderates comments , and if so, if he'll let it go through.

Regardless, you all have a fantastic day, question everything you're told and all the est in your business efforts.

Hi Stewart,

Couldn't resist spamming my blog eh

The thing with no follow is an ongoing debate. I know that SE's follow the links, but the question is how much rank you get, or whether they give SERP's....

I have been reliably informed that if you get enough (THOUSANDS) of no follows that they do in fact boost SERP's... but you really want to go for follow links, which I believe I will be able to trade... having first identified sites with your program....

Jeremy, why don't blog often? It's definitely the best blog post I've read today

Stewart - why do you make people wrong? There are two options:

First one - you don't know how to analyze 7 months of testing. We already know that spiders follow "nofollow" links, but no matter on that, thanks to Google Toolbar you can use simple text, user will copy to browser's address bar and Googlebot will visit anyway. But we are talking about SEO benefits. All companies excluding Ask.com announced their algorithms don't carry SEO power for links with rel="nofollow", right?

Second one - you do "white PR" for your product.

Both of them don't promote well your person, in my humble opinion. However, you can show me a keyterm that you have done by using only "nofollow" links. It might be much interesting

Hi Florchakh,

Because this site makes no money... I have been looking at other things... besides I dont like being "chained to my blog"... I dont like this idea of "you must set your posting frequency"... I prefer to write stuff that I am interested in when I feel like it...

I rule my blog... my blog does not rule me

Guess why I don't write 5 new posts to my personal blog, daily. Hell, I have already collected more than 40 ideas for new posts, just don't have more time for writing. And that numbers is still counting

Hope someday we became rich fatcats, then we will blog more often

PS: Call me Bart, srsly

Oh yeah, regarding rich fat cats blogging more often... I have just bought content for a new site and will be buying more for some other sites....

I will have to see how long it takes to get my money back on that content... but I am hopeful it will not take too long... if I have picked my niches well...

Fortunately I'm not programmer, also I don't have a day job. Also I can say it's really cool to see how your competitors conquer SERPs in your niche when they have a bigger company budget to waste. Okay, sometimes there appears a need to seek for another niche

I have a lot to learn about SEO, and I am not wasting my own money on it either!

I am using my small income from the sites I have to pay for services... I will see if I can build it up...

I had a choice of buing links or buying more content... I thought I would go for the content and shop for links later...

Yes I believe that.. I would be interested to know what kind of content...

1) is it original (not already on the internet)

2) is it in English

3) is it still readable, i.e. NOT re-written using a thesaurus

If the answer is yes to all 3, zip it up, you have my mail address ;-)

I actually have a couple of ideas on sources of content, which I wont post here. If you want mail... you may already be doing this yourself... or that may be the source of your content... would be good to swap notes....

I totally ignore nofollow - I just get as many links as I can. I have NEVER found evidence that nofollow even matters. Let's not forget that G isn't the ONLY SE in town, and when you remember that...well, nofollow doesn't carry the weight it supposedly has does it?

It depends what you are doing... a nofollow is better than a nolink

Some people think they are clever trying to use no-follow's in link exchanges, someone tried that on me this week.... the idiot....
